Through June, we gather on the second and fourth Thursdays at 10am (until 11:30) at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Hot Springs (unless life and circumstances dictate otherwise!). We meet in the EfM/Vestry room on the third floor, accessible via elevator or the stairs by the Parish Hall.
Beginning in July, Praying with the Word will be a solo/virtual experience. I (Sara+) plan to continue my trek through the Bible and encourage you to do so! The Episcopal Church continues to engage Scripture and provide new resources for further study, especially through The Forward Movement, so I look forward to taking advantage of these materials and opportunities. Should an in-person group evolve, I’ll post an update.
Here are our meeting dates and anticipated readings. Because the readings and our time spent with them have proven so varied, I’m not getting too far ahead of where we are. 🙂
June 22 – Judges
July 13 – 1 Samuel 1-12
July 27 – 1 Samuel 13-31
August 17 (meeting once this month to allow for school transitions!) – 2 Samuel

What were the reading assignments for the first two sessions?
Pat, both assignments have been in Genesis: the first one through 25:11, the second one to finish the book of Genesis. Blessings!
